Line-up
The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of previous albums and was a more powerful, constant effort with a harder edge than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
